Geothermal Heating and Cooling
|
Earth directly absorbs some 47% of solar radiation. Geothermal heating and cooling is based upon heat exchange with the earth itself, utilising the solar energy stored in the ground for heating buildings in winter (earth as a heat source) and as heat rejection in summer (earth as a heat sink). Numac provides geothermal looping and boreholes in any geological formation, from the relatively shallow residential 30m hole to the 100m hole used in commercial heating and cooling systems. With geothermal loops in place, our specialised injection equipment injects grout into the hole from the bottom up, ensuring loops are completely encased with no air pockets. A geothermal heating and cooling system can potentially reduce your energy account by 70%, according to the CSIRO and the Australian Geothermal Energy Association Inc. |
